Top Apple executives likely to be brought down in US antitrust investigation into Google
The Justice Department wants to oust several top Apple executives as it prepares for a trial to determine if Alphabet’s Google violated antitrust laws in the way it runs its search business. or not, an attorney representing Apple said Friday. The US Department of Justice filed a lawsuit Google in October 2020, accusing the $1 trillion company (approximately Rs 75,62,921 crore) of illegally using its market mechanism to make it difficult for competitors. The trial date has been set for September 12, 2023.
The US Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission and groups of state attorneys general opened numerous investigations into major Tech platforms about two years ago, some of which have resulted in lawsuits.
