Also capable of making the trip from Newmarket is Kirsten Rausing’s Alpinista (GB) (Frankel {GB}), coached by Sir Mark Prescott and winner of three Group 1 races in Germany last year, and Saudi-owned Grocer Jack (Ger), coached by William Haggas (Oasis dream {GB}), who started his career in Germany. Richard Hannon joined Amo Racing’s Mojo Star (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), who finished second in the Derby, St Leger and Gold Cup matches.
Stephan Buchner, managing partner of Baden Galopp, said: “We are delighted with the excellent number of entries for our highlight of the year. The response at home and abroad makes us very much looking forward to a horse racing festival on September 4 on our beautiful racecourse.”
The €200,000 Grosser Preis von Baden is the final day feature race of Baden-Baden’s ‘Grosse Woche’ which will get underway on August 27.
