Torrei Hart protects ex-husband Kevin Hart’s last name | News
Torrei Hart and Kevin Hart divorced in 2011, but Torrei has no plans to give up her ex-husband’s last name.
“That’s what people always ask me, and I say: That’s my name – get over it!” Torrei said Toofab.com on October 12 upon leaving LAX.
“They will always have something to say, but I will be a Hart until I decide not to. And that’s just what it is,” continued Torrei, a comedian in her own right.
Torrei defended his decision: “Because it’s mine, first of all.”
“Secondly, because Kevin never asked for it back – he didn’t want to [me] To give it back, he’s not a trippin,’ she said, adding, “And third: my kids don’t want me to change their name.”
Torrei Hart and Kevin got married in 2003 and completed the divorce proceedings in 2011. They have two children together, a son. Hendrix, 14 years old and a 16 year old daughter heaven.
There’s no career benefit to keeping the surname Hart “because you might have a name, but if you’re not working, what good is that name?”
Torrei says she is “hustling every day” for opportunities to advance her career. “I’m networking, I’m training, I put the word – Like ‘Yo, this project looks like it might work for me.’ Like, I hustle,” the actress and producer added.
Besides that, Torrei believes Kevin owes something for continuing to use her as a highlight in his comic books.
“So you’re still a part of my life – plug in your stuff!” she speaks. “America: tell him I said plug in my stuff. You guys spam his page and tell him: ‘Plug in Torrei’s stuff.'”
She said her ex also owes a big gift that he promised her on his Netflix special.”No F ** ks Given in advance.“
“Yeah Kevin! You know what time it is – plug in my projects! I’m here for you, because you never gave me my Tesla (truck)!” she joked.
