Trackers Grace McCallum and Jordan Chiles both score first perfect 10s in NCAA gymnastics
Gymnastics Utah vs. UCLA has always been a terrifying competition. And by Friday, both teams delivered firepower.
Utah freshman Grace McCallum – a member of the US Olympic team that won a silver medal in Tokyo – earned the first 10.0 of her career in the bars, with an unusually clean look. day and got out of the car so perfectly that it surprised her:

McCallum’s Olympic teammate Jordan Chiles, who plays for opposing team UCLA, later responded with his own career. She won 9,925 on an extreme exercise, one of the hardest in all of the NCAA gymnastics – and she hit every banana move to the nth degree:

Finally, Chiles took the house down to her home arena with a premium dual-layout floor process and super diving reel, scoring her own perfect 10.0:

The Chiles won all-out, but Utah overtook UCLA in the end, 197,750 to 197,650, which is roughly as close as two teams could achieve.
“At the end of the day, I just go out there and have fun,” Chiles told ESPN’s Sam Peszek at the end of the meeting.
