Paris Saint-Germain heading into the summer transfer window looking to strengthen their midfield, with this still happening despite them bringing in Vitinha and Renato Sanches.
This comes with Time reports that the Ligue 1 champions are monitoring the contract situation of Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.
The Frenchman has just one year left on his contract with the Blues, and questions have been raised regarding the 31-year-old’s future.
Thomas Tuchel is keen for Kante to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond 2023 but said his injury and age concerns will be taken into consideration when deciding on the length and size of his contract will be made.
Kante is currently the second highest-earning player in the Chelsea squad and is expected to miss at least a month with a hamstring injury.
PSG are long-term fans of the talented midfielder, though, and tried to sign him in 2018, when he ultimately opted to sign a five-year extension with the Blues instead.
If Chelsea do not agree a new deal with Kante in January, he will be able to start discussing a move with clubs abroad.
Les Parisiens has also been associated with City of Manchester‘S Bernardo Silvabut Pep Guardiola insisted that Portugal international will not leave Etihad.
PSG is also close to bringing Fabian Ruizwith Calciomercato report that the deal will see Naples receive 24 million euros while the Spaniard will have a contract worth 5 million euros per season until June 2027.

– The Athletic reported that Chelsea are having second thoughts about signing Barcelona in front of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang because of his age and high expected salary, the Blues wanted to include performance-based incentives.
