Turki Alalshikh suggests Joshua can overcome Fury – Usyk rematch
Today, Turki Alalshikh posted on social media that he and Anthony Joshua are awaiting the outcome of the May 18 undisputed heavyweight championship fight between champions Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
Alalshikh seemed to suggest that he would let Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) fight the winner of the Fury-Usyk fight instead of waiting until both have fought twice before it's their turn to face with the winner.
Financial Muscle & Exciting Boxing
Alalshikh will probably spend money to make the loser of Fury vs. Usyk on May 18 made room for Joshua to face the winner, but he has the finances to do so.
It is understandable why He wanted Joshua to fight the victor immediately. There will be more fans interested in seeing AJ get a chance than seeing a rematch, which could be a boring affair.
Fury and Usyk are both talented fighters who always win. Joshua is much more interesting than both guys, and it makes sense to have him face the winner of the first Fury-Usyk fight.
Joshua is arguably the most exciting fighter in the heavyweight division, and him facing the winner of his next fight on May 18 will attract huge interest from fans around the world. Of course, that's assuming Fury wins on May 18.
There won't be much excitement for a third fight between Joshua and Usyk, as AJ has already lost to him twice, and there will be a possibility of a third defeat if he doesn't land a big shot to knock him out ta.
Waiting for results
“We are waiting for the results of Usyk vs Fury,” said Mr. Turki Alalshikh above X about how he and Anthony Joshua are awaiting the outcome of the May 18 fight between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and IBF/WBA/WBO champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury may make noise if he loses to Usyk on May 18 if there can't be an immediate rematch to redeem himself, but if he wants Joshua to have a chance then Gyspy King will have no choice but to sit quiet. and wait your turn.
