TV actor Tejasswi Prakash is the winner of Big Boss 15

TV star Tejasswi Prakash on Saturday beat actor and model Pratik Sehajpal to become the winner of the reality show “Bigg Boss” season 15.
Ms. Prakash, known for her starring role on “Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur“, took home the Bigg Boss trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 40 lakh.
The winner was announced by the host, superstar Salman Khan.
Mr. Sehajpal finished first, while actor – Prakash’s boyfriend, Karan Kundra, came in third.
Actor Shamita Shetty finished fourth while choreographer Nishant Bhat opted out of the final race and took home Rs 10 Lakh, finishing in fifth place.
Ms. Prakash joined the show as a title favorite, thanks to her popularity as a TV star.
The 28-year-old actor is known to show off his competitive and fierce side. During the show, Ms. Prakash fell in love with Mr. Kundra and the couple became a fan-favorite couple.
Mr. Sehajpal, one of the finalists of last year’s “Bigg Boss OTT”, was also popular during the show.
The finale saw Bollywood star Deepika Padukone promote her upcoming film “Gehraiyaan” alongside co-stars Ananya Pandey, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa.
The finale also featured former Bigg Boss winners including Gauahar Khan, Urvashi Dholakia, Gautam Gulati, Rubina Dilaik and Shweta Tiwari.
Among the highlights of the finale was 13 “Bigg Boss” finalist Shehnaaz Gill paying tribute to her late teammate Sidharth Shukla, who won the said season. Sidharth Shukla passed away last year.
Both Mrs Gill and Mr Khan were very emotional and hugged each other in memory of Sidharth Shukla. At one point, Khan asked the “Bigg Boss” crew for tissues when he and Gill couldn’t hold back their tears.
Mr. Khan, who has always loved Gill, said it was a very difficult time for her and Sidharth Shukla’s mother.
“I keep talking to Sidharth’s mother. It’s time to move on. You have a bright, beautiful future ahead of you. Do many good deeds and be happy,” he told Ms Gill.
