E3 2023 caused another hit, as Ubisoft has confirmed it won’t be at the show. In a statement to Video Game ChroniclesThe publisher revealed that they will instead hold a live showcase on June 12 in Los Angeles.
Publisher’s Statement VGC read “While we originally planned to have an official presence at E3, we have since made the decision to move in a different direction and will host the Ubisoft Forward Live event on June 12 in Los Angeles. Angeles. We look forward to sharing more details with our players soon.”
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot announced in February that the company will commit to participating “if E3 happens”. If that’s the case, this news certainly doesn’t bode well for the fate of what is supposed to be a big return to E3.
As for what Ubisoft might show off at its event, Assassin’s Creed Illusion, Motorfest . crewand maybe) skull and bones expected to be released this year. Other announced projects include the Splinter Cell remake and the long-quiet Prince of Persia, loads of new projects. Assassin’s Creed Gameand Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. a rumor sequel to the Immortals Fenyx Rising may also appear.
Ubisoft joins Nintendo on the list of major publishers who refused to participate in this year’s exhibition, after one previous one reportMicrosoft and Sony plan to follow suit. E3 is mostly hosted by ReedPop This year and will take place June 13-16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event will be open to fans and the press, with separate attendance dates for each. This will be the first live event since 2019.
