Ukraine receives hundreds of Senator armored vehicles from Canada
The Canadian armored vehicle manufacturer Roshel has delivered hundreds of high-tech Senator armored personnel carriers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Armored, troop-carrying vehicles were delivered to Ukraine as part of Ottawa’s military aid to Ukraine and the support of patrons from Eastern Europe.
“The Roshel company has delivered more than 100 vehicles. More than 300 are on their way to Ukraine,” said a senior company representative.

The Senator is a newly developed armored vehicle (First Senator shipped in 2018) designed for use in law enforcement and border patrol.
The Ukrainian army has actively used these means in counterattacks in the east and south of the country. In addition, a batch of armored vehicles was handed over to the border guards to ensure security at the border with Belarus.

The military noted the Senator’s good maneuverability characteristics compared to the heavier armored vehicles of the US and Ukraine.
The company says the bodywork has been specially designed to incorporate advanced heat and sound insulation materials that provide an outstanding level of comfort for the occupants. The vehicle is fully air-conditioned for comfortable use in harsh environments.
The armor surrounding the Senator’s passenger compartment and engine compartment is designed to provide protection up to the CEN B7 ballistic protection level, but the Senator’s armor is more resistant to impacts. The floor is equipped with an explosion-proof system to protect occupants in the event of simultaneous detonation of 2 German DM-51 grenades or equivalent light anti-personnel mines.
