Ukraine receives RQ-20 unarmed aerial vehicles donated by US
The Ukrainian military has received a new shipment of a hand-launched surveillance drone called the RQ-20 Puma, according to reports. Armyinform.com.ua.
Armyinform.com.ua reported that Ukrainian soldiers used new US-aided Puma unarmed aircraft on the battlefield in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The drone has a range of about 12 miles (19 km) and its battery provides more than three hours of flight time, according to a company fact sheet. It weighs 13 pounds and can be operated from a stationary position or a mobile platform.

Puma’s small size and ease of use are positive for infantry units as it allows them to operate the system organically. The Puma system is very important on the modern battlefield, especially for infantry.
The RQ-20 can scan a 360-degree area using a lightweight electro-optical and infrared camera, located at the bottom of the device. The drone has a maximum altitude of 10,500 feet above sea level and an operating altitude of 500 feet above sea level.
