Ukraine says it shoots down four Russian attack helicopters
The Ukrainian Air Force on Wednesday said its unit shot down four Russian attack helicopters over southern Ukraine.
“Air defense missile units of the Air Defense Force shot down at least four enemy attack helicopters (probably Ka-52) between 8:40 a.m. and 8:58 a.m. on October 12, south of Ukraine, which is providing fire support to the Ground Occupy Forces troops in the south,” the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Air Force said in a statement that one helicopter had crashed over territory liberated from Russian forces, with the rest behind the front lines.
