Popular music The Publishing Group has entered into a strategic alliance with audio content production studio, Audio Up.
The deal will focus on signing musicians to create unique music for Audio Up’s original podcast shows.
Additionally, UMPG has signed an exclusive, global publishing agreement with musician, producer and Audio Up CEO, “Jingle Jared” Gutstadt.
Audio Up builds what UMPG calls unique scripted podcast content that includes original music and voice-over A-list talent.
The new relationship will help UMPG identify and potentially sign creators that it says “can write songs for podcasts and have excellent modern songwriting.”
Supported by distribution partners including SiriusXM and Audible, Audio Up says they’re focused on creating hit tracks, using the podcasting space as a launchpad.
UMPG notes that “its shows are like Broadway musicals that combine original stories with characters and scripts”.
Key podcast collaborators include Machine Gun Kelly, T-Bone Burnett, Miranda Lambert, 24KGoldn, iann dior and many more.
Audio Up CEO Gutstadt, also known as “Jingle Jared,” is a musician, writer, inventor, and live events director.
He is known for his patented technology (“Jingle Player”). UMPG says the technology has “transformed the TV market” through his company Jingle Punks.
His podcast, Bear and a Banjo, was the first to feature an original commercial soundtrack.
