Update details of Ford Ranger 2023, price increase

Ford Australia detailed pricing and specification for the updated MY23.5 forest ranger Before production starts next March.

UPDATE, 11/10/2022 2:54 pm – A Ford Australia spokesperson provided some clarification around those who order the Ranger V6 today and whether they are likely to receive the updated MY23.5 spec with the increased price tag.

Prices go up from $250 to $1300, depending on the variant, with Ford Ranger range now starts from $36,180 before on-road expenses for XL 4×2 single cab chassis and extend to $86,790 before on-road expenses for Ranger Raptor ready baja.

The Ford Australia website currently says if you order the Ranger now with a need for V6 twin-turbo petrol or V6 twin-turbo petrol, it will arrive sometime between March and June next year.

A Ford Australia spokesperson said: “Given current high demand for the Ranger Wildtrak V6, the majority of the MY 2022.00 production through February 2023 has been sold.

“Therefore, it is likely that an order placed today cannot be filled by a 2022.00MY vehicle and will instead be matched to a 2023.50MY vehicle built from March 2023 onwards, and therefore subject to the revised proposed MLP.”

“However, as always, the selling price of any vehicle or option is determined entirely by the dealer.”

“If dealers are unable to match current or future orders with a 2022.00MY vehicle that will be manufactured before March, they will contact the customer and inform them that their vehicle will be a vehicle. 2023.50MY and will follow the revised proposed MLP,” the Ford Australia spokesperson added.

“If that is the case, the customer has the right to cancel the contract and receive a full refund of the deposit.”

One highlight of the MY23.5 update is that all Ranger XLT and Sport variants now come standard with integrated trailer brake control.

Ranger XL chassis variants now come standard with a rear view camera, like the rest of the range.

There’s a new optional wheel package for the Ranger Wildtrak that costs $500 and adds 20-inch machined-faced alloy wheels wrapped in all-season tyres.

The optional Touring package, available on XLT and Sport pickup models, is now $395 more expensive at $1295 and includes an auxiliary conversion bank and cargo management system.

The XLT cab chassis variants also receive a stand-alone option for the sub-switch priced at $250.

The Wildtrak Premium package is now $350 more expensive at $1850, with no spec changes, and the prestige paint color is $25 more expensive at $700.
