US grocery store sets Guinness world record for largest donut mosaic
There is no shortage of curious but interesting content on the internet. We often get some really unexpected happenings from around the world on our social media feeds. The Guinness Book of World Records, for example, is where you can find some of the weirdest but fascinating records people are making around the globe. Sometimes these records also include food and thus greatly delight the foodies among us. Recently, another food-related record has caught our attention. A US-based grocer has set a new Guinness World Record for the largest donut mosaic. Watch:

Bashas’ Supermarket is a store based in Arizona, USA. The record-breaking feat was part of their 90th anniversary celebration at Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona. It took them over 14,400 donuts and over 80 hours to make it a reality. Assembling the donuts alone took about four hours. “What a wonderful way to kick off our 90th anniversary! Bashas is now the official Guinness World Record holder and couldn’t be more apt to be the fragrant donuts themselves. our delicious made the scam,” they wrote in their tweet.
The delicious donuts are lined up in a ’90’ shape using the supermarket brand’s signature colors. According to the report, the logo measures 902 square feet, breaking the previous record made in Ukraine in 2012. Furthermore, they don’t let the donuts go to waste and share them with food banks. and social workers to distribute to the hungry and homeless.
