USA men’s national team coach Gregg Berhalter has assigned a 26-man, MLS heavyweight squad to training camp ahead of a friendly against Bosnia & Herzegovina on December 18.
The players will begin reporting to camp in Carson, California on December 5. Camp is being held ahead of a trio of World Cup qualifiers that begin in late January and are intended to keep MLS players healthy. right now when the season has begun most of them.

The match against Bosnia was outside the FIFA international competition day, leaving players still in the season largely absent.
“It has been a great year for the team and our aim is to end the year with an impressive performance against Bosnia & Herzegovina,” said Berhalter. “As we look to 2022, this camp gives us the opportunity to see some new faces and allows our core domestic players to maintain their fitness levels.”
The team is marked by MLS Defender of the Year Walker Zimmerman of the Nashville SCand MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Matt Turner afterward New England Revolution.
