Venice Film Festival Red Carpet Looks
The 79th Venice Film Festival is now underway, and fashion is front and center. Filmmakers, actors, models and pop stars have taken to the streets of Venice in Italy to celebrate the very best in international cinematic excellence. Among the attendees that caught our attention was the Gucci actress and muse Jodie Turner-Smith, who surfed the red carpet in a beautiful mauve cutout dress by Et Ochs. She enhanced her look with a layered necklace and a simple black clutch.
She then made a big impression at the premiere of “Bardo” wearing a gown inspired by the abstract art of Christopher John Rogers. The dress in question is Look 33 from Rogers’ 009 Collection and was inspired by the art of the late abstract pioneer Sam Gilliam. Styled by Wayman and Micah, Turner-Smith paired a colorful racerback gown with a vibrant diamond choker necklace and commendable teardrop earrings. The “Anne Boylen” star is quite the watcher this week. From a beautiful black string Gucci gown with satin neon blue opera gloves to a pink lace gown by Gucci, with towering white lace boots, she is dominating red carpet after red carpet. Another memorable look she wore was a sheer red Versace dress paired with a Brandon Blackwood bag and contrasting blue chic heels by Kendall Miles.
Other stars in attendance included Tessa Thompsonwho stole the show in a blue Armani Privé suit; cate Blanchett; Hillary Clinton; and Emma Chamberlin. The Venice Film Festival, billed as the oldest film festival in the world, will run until September 10. As more popular international films continue to debut, we are delighted to witness many appearances on the red carpet.
