Vivo Y21e Appears on Geekbench, Coming Soon with Snapdragon 680 SoC
Vivo Y21e is said to be in the works. The smartphone has been spotted on Geekbench hinting at a future launch. Vivo Y21e has also been spotted on the IMEI certification website with the same model number it was spotted on Geekbench. Vivo has not made any announcement about the upcoming launch of Vivo Y21e. Whenever it launches, it will be an addition to the Vivo Y21 series that has many models, including the vanilla Vivo Y21 and the Vivo Y21s.
Geekbench has listed a new one Vivo phone with model number V2140. Although the name of this phone is still unknown, recently tipper Sudhanshu Ambhore has spot same model number on the IMEI certification website. The screenshot shared by Ambhore shows that the model number V2140 belongs to Vivo Y21e. As for Geekbench, Vivo Y21e is listed as going to be powered by a Qualcomm processor codenamed ‘Bengal’. The listing also reveals that the chipset could have four CPU cores operating at 1.9GHz and another four CPU cores operating at 2.4GHz. The reported code snippet shows that the Qualcomm SoC also comes with an Adreno 610 GPU. All these clues suggest that the Vivo Y21e could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC.
Additionally, the Vivo Y21e is listed as going to have 3GB of RAM and run Android 11 software. Vivo Y21e’s single-core score is listed as 387, while the multi-core score is 1,636. Apart from this, very little else is known about Vivo Y21e.
As mentioned, Vivo Y21e is, as the name suggests, likely a fork of Vivo Y21 that was launched in India in August of this year. Vivo Y21 is equipped with MediaTek Helio P35 SoC chip and 5,000mAh battery. It has a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel main camera.
