We can’t imagine fried foods without some ketchup on the side. Right? In fact, our love for ketchup knows no bounds. But at the same time, we also hate when it falls on our clothes, leaving stains that won’t fade. What if we say it’s a ‘fashion trend’ now? You heard us. A new clothing line was introduced recently that has real ketchup stains on it. And it is launched by the famous ketchup brand Heinz. According to a report in the Daily Mail, the spice giant has partnered with a clothing line based in the US and named the collection ‘Vintage Drip’. Currently, this line is only available in the US in sizes XXS to XXL.
Promo Marketing magazine added that the word ‘drip’ in ‘Vintage Drip’ is related to the word ‘drop’ – which literally means drop of ketchup. Furthermore, the word ‘drip’ is a colloquial term for ‘style’ in the US. This is said to be a limited collection of 157 ‘classic pieces’, dyed with real Heinz ketchup. The ketchup brand took to YouTube to announce the news with a quirky video. According to them, the drop of ketchup on the cloth is not a “stain”, but a “statement” for all.

The video immediately took over the internet and got everyone talking about this unique fashion statement. On Twitter, Heinz made the announcement along with a post that read, “It’s not a stain. It’s a statement. Luxury clothing from thredUP, all with Heinz ketchup stains. visit https://thredup.com/heinz to purchase the collection and show off your stain with #HeinzVintageDrip. Only on thredUP. All proceeds will go to Rise Against Hunger.”
