Warzone 2.0 will have stats soon, but your current kills don’t count
Warzone 2.0 mission call players are about to get what they want… that sort of thing. The hot online shooter is getting combat record with the reloaded mid-season update Season 01, coming out on December 14th. Sounds good. But the cool thing is, it starts fresh: none of the information from the games you’ve completed before that date will count towards your stats.
Traditionally, all the Battle Log does is record your and other players’ performance, including total time played, kill/death ratio, kill sequence, and stats other competitors as well as players was want it to go to Battlefield 2.0 since the game launched in November. However, a new blog that Activision posted today about the upcoming patch has revealed that this eagerly awaited feature comes with an important caveat.
“Records will only be from activation date onwards and will not include statistics from Season 01 launch until Season 01 reloaded (November 16 to December 14)” Read updated blog.
Kotaku Contacted Activision for comment.
For competitive players, this news comes as a heavy slap in the face—anything you do until December 14 will not be officially recorded. If you take your most impressive kill and don’t have a Battle Record to record, have you even had a kill?
G/O Media can receive commission
Personally, I’m not sure if this is as bad as some fans to be make it out Okay. But I can understand their frustration, especially considering Combat Record as an example. CoD features missing at launch. It doesn’t help either Battlefield 2.0debut is one this year clumsy and sly. Like fun because free games are actually playedFan goodwill clearly has its limits.
But during the dark times between now and December 14, when the stats will finally start to be recorded, you can focus your attention on anticipating other mid-season updates. Battlefield 2.0 are getting, like a Missile Federation-inspired Battlefield Cup with ATV. Or you can, you know, try to enjoy the game.
