Just thinking about machines taking over humans gives us chills. But many people around the world are experiencing it. Although we have seen some jobs taken away by machines, there are some things we are used to doing by our fellow human beings; for example, serving our food in a restaurant. Indian restaurants still offer experiential dining, where food is served by waiters with whom we can also interact. But it seems people in some places have moved on and adapted to newer technologies in the food industry.
Not too long ago, we saw an announcement about a robot serving food in a hotel. While we were surprised by it, this report of food served by a ‘speedboat’ is no less surprising. An Instagram video shows how a micro train moves around and delivers orders to customers sitting in their seats.

The video shows customers sitting around a large oval table in a restaurant. The table top already has rails for trains. We saw a micro-train running and stopping right in front of customers who came to pick up and take their orders from the carriage that followed. When the train senses that the disc is loaded, it begins to move farther and turns around.
The two-tier table also has steps below with a rotating belt to get food around. But looking at the speedboat-shaped machine serving food is quite eye-catching.

No wonder the video post has received over 70k views, over 68k likes and hundreds of comments.
While one user wrote, “Honestly, this level of automation haunts me. It feels so much better to be served by one person,” another user was quite impressed and wrote, “wow great restaurant.”
One user also commented, “Kills the job but at the same time the thought of serving me food on a mini train makes my monkey brain go ooh ooh ah ah.”
