Watch: First time Food Blogger Vietnam Tries Jalebi, here’s her reaction
If there’s one thing we Indians can’t get enough of, it’s dessert. We really have a penchant for giving a sweet ending to our meals with one thing or another. Whether it’s the spongy Rasmalai or the mouthwatering Mysore Pak, there are plenty of Indian desserts to choose from. Jalebi is also one of the delicious desserts famous throughout the country. A loose dough is deep-fried until crisp and coated in saffron and sugary syrup to make this hearty dish. Jalebi’s popularity was evident when a Vietnamese food blogger tried this delicacy to his heart’s content. She also shared a reaction video with Jalebi. Watch:
The clip was shared on Instagram Reels by blogger @foodbysoy, where it received 201k views and 14.6k likes. “First time trying Jalebi! It’s known as India’s national sweet. It reminds me of a deliciously made funnel cake dipped in saffron syrup,” she wrote in the video’s caption. .
For the first time, the blogger explained how she was able to try Jalebi for free thanks to an Indian friend. She also said that she had heard a lot about it, so got her excited to try it. When she took her first bite, she exclaimed, “It’s so sweet. Lots of syrup. I really like the texture of it.” She then asked if Jalebi could be eaten with tea. We can say that the blogger has enjoyed the same sweet treatment as we do!
