Trevor Noah’s Daily Exit: Roy Wood Jr. REACTS
It officially ended an era late at night.
On December 8, Trevor Noah say goodbye to Daily program after hosting seven seasons of the popular political talk show — and he began his goodbye by thanking fans.
“I’m so grateful to you, every single one of you,” he told the crowd. “I’m so grateful. I remember when we started the show, we couldn’t have enough people to fill the audience.”
Trevor also jokingly thanked “those who hate watching” the show, quipping that “we still have ratings.”
The 38-year-old then turned his comments in a very emotional and personal direction.
“For some, this is incidental, but a special thank you to Black women,” he said. “I’m often credited with having these great ideas. People say, ‘Trevor, you’re so smart.’ I’m like, ‘Who do you think taught me? Who do you think shaped me, nurtured me and shaped me?'”
Trevor went on to give a special nod to his mother, aunt, and “all the black women in my life” before becoming visibly emotional.
