What are Australia’s best-selling luxury car brands?
Five months started with a new ‘dealer’ business model with no bargains, Mercedes-Benz Australia (excluding trucks) retains its status as Australia’s favorite luxury car brand.
But the gap has been narrowed a bit, with a mortal opponent BMW car saw its sales decline at a slower rate.
Meanwhile, brand number three Audi its work is cut off to continue growing Volvo and always charge Tesla in the bay, when she was battling a particularly severe shortage of cargo.
Interestingly, the top three luxury automakers all saw their sales decline at a much larger rate than the total new car market, which is down 4.1% so far this year.
Mid-table candidate Lexus has slipped back into the order of discounts this year as it struggles with stock, narrowly ahead of Volvo at this point in 2021.
Porschelike Volvo, which bucked this trend in the first few months by posting sales growth, unlike Land Rover behind it, while the emerging EV rival Polestar got off to a pretty good start: the Chinese-Swedish brand outsold them both Genesis and Jaguar.
Italian Pairs Alfa Romeo and Maserati strengthens the rear, with both brands rolling out core new products (the Tonale and Grecale SUV respectively) that will launch over the next 12 months.
