Casey Newton: YES. I mean, who knows what’s going on on the Clubhouse anymore? I have to say that act was pretty dead for me.
Michael Calore: I mean, you’re not in the NFTs?
Casey Newton: I love inflating my bags and having other bags pumped for me. So maybe I can find more of that in space or in the Clubhouse. Although I see a lot of that in space now, too.
Lauren Goode: ALRIGHT. Casey, the wildcard feature for Twitter. Something we have yet to discuss today. What would you like to see happen on Twitter?
Casey Newton: Well, I want to see the makeshift tweets but maybe that doesn’t count because they already tried. But again, I want you to be able to tweet to your main timeline and it’s gone. I want to be able to do local tweets. I want to just talk to my followers who live in San Francisco about things in San Francisco. It feels a bit odd to broadcast that content to people who might be living around the world and not interested. So I think geographically limiting tweets is an interesting idea.
Michael Calore: That’s a great idea.
Casey Newton: We know that they are working on tweets of pals. So pretty soon you’ll be able to tweet up to a limit of maybe 150, which is where I think Instagram puts that limit but I’d also like to see how it works. And finally, I’d love to be able to have people subscribe to my newsletter hosted on Substack directly from my profile. You can actually do that if you run your newsletter on Twitter-owned review. But I think the right thing to do is enable interoperability, which is becoming a big word in tech regulation.
Michael Calore: Right, because that’s how we got here, is interoperability.
Casey Newton: That’s right.

Michael Calore: Okay, this is the part of our show where we have people recommend something they love to our listeners. So Casey, you go ahead. What is your suggestion?
Casey Newton: Well, what I find myself recommending to people now when I meet them on the street is a concert Yellow jacket.
Michael Calore: You just walk down the street telling people like, Yellow jacket.
Casey Newton: If you met me, odds are I ask you if you have seen Yellow jacket 50 percent higher. If you’re not familiar, this is a show about a girl’s soccer team who got lost in the wilderness in the 90s. And then 30 years later, there’s a second timeline where you see some of the girls. The girls went on with their lives but it’s unclear who returned and what happened while they were there. It started with two incredible actresses who were known for their work in the 90s, Juliet Lewis and Christina Richie. And the show does a great job at a lot of things. It is very suspenseful. If you like getting lost, you’ll love the show but the actresses, as children, and the actresses as adults, they did a great job of finding people who could reasonably play the same person apart. 30 years old. So anyway, I inhaled it for three days. I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens in season two. It’s on Showtime, which sucks because then you have to sign up for your Showtime, but try it for free, check it out Yellow jacket, cancellation. Surprised.
