Why does Nicola Coughlan think she’ll be fired by Bridgerton?
Some things sound too good to be true.
When Nicola Coughlan was cast as Penelope Featherington in the TV adaptation of Julia Quinn‘S Bridgerton , she is cautiously optimistic. “I should have said, ‘This is amazing,'” she said New York Times about role. “Instead, I said, ‘This is fishy. I don’t know about this.'”
Nicola is afraid to follow NYT“She’s known a lot of actors who were hired on big-name projects and then fired when the studio asked for a bigger name.”
In fact, showrunner Chris Van Dusen “I’m happy to say that everyone loves her as much as I do,” Van Dusen told the newspaper.
Now, with a season over, Nicola is more confident in her ability — to save for the romantic scenes.
