Why Dylan Mulvaney is back on social media amid ‘brutal’ criticism
“What I struggled with the most was that I grew up in a conservative family and I’m extremely privileged, because they still love me so much. And I grew up in a church,” Dylan shared. “I still have my beliefs, which I’m really trying to hold on to right now. But I’ve always tried to love everyone, even the people that make it really hard. And I do. I think it’s okay to be disappointed with someone or someone. I’m confused, but what I’m struggling to understand is the need to dehumanize and be ruthless. I don’t think that’s true.”
Finally, Dylan is reminding herself that true friends and fans are still with her. She confessed that she was embarrassed to tell her followers how worried she was “that you’re going to start believing the things they say about me, because it’s so loud.” However, in her words, “I will continue to trust that those who know me and my heart will not hear that noise.”
