Let’s talk about abdominal binding. Right! Bind your stomach after pregnancy (or in general) because I feel like it’s something that really worked for me. It’s important that I’m sharing my journey – take what you like, leave what you don’t.
It really helped bring my image back to the way it was before Townes, so obviously I wanted to share the experience with you guys.
When I was pregnant with ZazaI like so much wear compression. And, well, now with the towels, I still am. Wearing compression has saved my life day in and day out. It helps reduce swelling, bloating and lymphatic system activity.
Think about how compression stockings can help get rid of sores, but for now imagine that on your entire body. LOVE AND esteem. Wearing compression clothing is really popular among pregnant women, postpartum women, and people who have just had surgery. It helps train your body to squeeze inwards so that the whole thing makes sense. Wearing compression also supports your muscles, holds things tight, and mainly helps reduce swelling.
Compression clothing was a staple during my pregnancy with Zaza, and now that Townes is here, I’m enjoying it again. , but now that Zaza is here, I still love it.

♡ Coating:
This one is black from Amazon good for women after pregnancy or not. You can totally wear it as a shapewear, even if you haven’t given birth yet. It’s black, has a bit of lace and is certainly not the least attractive thing I’ve included in the post-Zaza era. LAUGH.
The good thing about these tights is that it’s stretchy and tight, but not too restrictive. You should also know that there are 4 hooks and closed eyes so you can adjust its size. This is also perfect for wearing under a tighter dress. The way your body changes during pregnancy is truly amazing, so putting it on, keeping it in place, and putting on some pre-pregnancy clothes can feel really good.
♡ Belly Bandage:
Big fan of this belly band. In fact, I really like it. Katherine has them all over my house. It’s like a Velcro belt situation & has the most breathable fabric. It’s really comfortable, let me tell you. It’s very stretchy, but sturdy (in the best way) and you can adjust the straps to fit your body.
It is important to note that this product can be used in all postpartum stages. For example, one or 2 weeks after giving birth, you can wear it around your belly, from 2-6 weeks after giving birth, you can only wear it around your waist, and 7-12 weeks, you can wear it around your pelvis to support that region .
Wearing a belly band or postpartum belt can help:
♡ faster ‘return’ rate.
♡ abdominal support.
♡ reduce the growth of fat cells.
♡ Posture & straighten your spine.
♡ compresses the uterus back to its previous size.
♡ swelling and excess fluid removal.

Anyway, I was lucky enough to have my founder, Princess, come to Austin to wrap me up and show Michael how. She is a master of her craft – it’s a Malaysian austerity tradition.
I first heard about the tummy tuck from Ingrid, who has done it with all 3 of her children. She swore by it. Obviously I have to do that too. Now, the difference is that after Zaza I did it in 5 days, but this time I do it in 40 days.
Like I said, Michael has learned to wrap me and every time we do that, I’ll cut the end of the cord because my uterus is fully contracting. This works, guys. It’s such a commitment but my god it’s worth it.
The princess not only wrapped me, but also rubbed my mother’s belly. It’s like this gentle lymphatic drainage helps reduce abdominal swelling and helps the uterus contract faster.
Anyway, @bellibind indicates that you produce a hormone called ‘relaxin’ during pregnancy (it helps your body get ready for childbirth/birth). After giving birth, you continue to produce to heal. Basically, the belly wrap supports the natural healing process of the uterus & internal organs to return to their pre-pregnancy position.
My posture has gotten better WAY and my belly looks flatter- but, like, we still have a long way to go, you know?
Okay, let’s find out exactly what the Princess suggested I do.
