Even though we’re used to stacking nuggets in a bucket, this chef duo is one step ahead. Celebrity chefs Nick DiGiovanni from the USA and Lynn Davis from Japan teamed up again and set a new Guinness World Record – this time for making the world’s largest chicken heavier. 20 kg!
Before that, the duo made the world’s largest cake with a weight of more than 44kg. On Saturday, June 11, 2022, Nick uploaded a YouTube video showing him and Lynn cooking a large 20,960 kg chicken in the presence of two culinary experts and the Record Reviewer. In the video, we first see them toss 40 slices of bread in a bowl and mash them all along with half a gallon of milk. They then whisked 40 eggs, followed by seasoning 18kg of ground chicken with a spice blend. Next, they mix milk-soaked bread, beaten eggs, and spiced ground chicken. The duo then added the mixture to a custom mix and covered it with beaten eggs and breadcrumbs with a paintbrush. Then they put the mixture in a commercial oven and let it sit for a while. Halfway through, they take the chicken out and top it with a final layer of bread dough before cooking it again.
When the chicken was fully cooked, it was examined and weighed by Claire Stephens, who later declared it the world’s largest chicken dish. The cooking video has attracted more than 10,000 views on YouTube and is going viral on the internet. People were delighted to see the chef duo break yet another world record and sent congratulatory messages on the video. One YouTube user wrote: “Congratulations on this record. I love this duo continuing to break records.”
