Xbox owners will finally be able to connect to Discord voice chats from their console
Discord announced today that it is finally added voice chat integration to Xbox console.
Additionally, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One owners will be able to talk to their friends on Discord Voice chats from their console, instead of having to use other devices.
In a press release, Discord noted that Xbox Insiders will be able to use voice chat on their consoles, starting today. with this feature rolling out at a later date to all users. As Discord notes, this feature has widely request via user. The company previously allowed Xbox owners to connect their accounts, but that could only be used to display information, like Gamertags.
Discord also confirmed that Discord Voice chat on Xbox will allow users to transfer their voice calls from the app (Desktop or mobile) directly to their console using the Xbox app for Xbox. mobile device. As you can see from the image below, the transfer process looks pretty straightforward.
The announcement of the Discord integration for Xbox comes about seven months after the company announced that it is finally allowing PS4 and PS5 owners to connect their PSN account to their Discord profile.
