Xiaomi 12 series has been announced to launch later this month. Now, a tip has suggested that all three smartphones in the lineup – vanilla Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Pro – are likely to launch together. Xiaomi has not announced any details about its upcoming flagship series other than recently revealing that the Xiaomi 12 will be powered by the newly released Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The flagship smartphones are also expected to ship with MIUI 13.
Tipster Digital Chat Station disclosure on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo that Xiaomi could launch three smartphones with internal codenames L3A, L3 and L2 together. These codenames are speculated to be of Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12″and Xiaomi 12 Pro, respectively. Last week, these three flagship smartphones were Tip debuted at a special event scheduled for December 28. The end of the month date has been revealed through a screenshot of an internal document.
The previous Xiaomi 12 was also said to not have Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. However, recently Xiaomi take it took to Twitter to announce that the upcoming smartphone will indeed be the company’s first smartphone with the new SoC. At this point, it remains to be seen whether Xiaomi will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in the Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
Last month, Xiaomi 12’s camera specifications appeared online and have been confirmed Tip includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor for the rear camera. Along with that, the upcoming flagship smartphone is also said to have an ultra-wide-angle lens along with a periscope and telephoto lens. Furthermore, it is also said to have a full-HD+ display, 100W fast charging support, and an under-display camera.
MIUI 13 is also available report will launch alongside the Xiaomi 12 series later this month. It is also said that Xiaomi 12X can get MIUI 13 based on Android 11, while Xiaomi 12 vanilla can get version based on Android 12. Along with Redmi K50, Xiaomi 12X may launch with MIUI based on Android. 11, but they are supposed to update to Android 12 in the future.
