Here are the important things to pay attention to.
On PS5, Use Performance Focused Mode
tell first Prioritize combat and fast movement in the action RPG, with tons of flashy animations and pretty purple particles flying everywhere. Therefore, you want to use the right settings to get the most frames per second. On PC, you will need to adjust this to meet your hardware (and good luck, by the way), but on PS5, you’ll want to put the game in Performance Mode. I recommend doing this even if you are playing with variable refresh rate enabled on a capable monitor.
Navigate to Settings in the pause menu. Go to Display Settings and set Image Quality Settings to Focus on Performance
Never mind “Quality”. While there is a small increase in picture quality through this mode, it is not worth the sacrifice as this game excels as it moves faster and more fluently.
What about Ray Tracing mode? Wells. Turn it on once, enjoy how neat this technology is for a moment, then forget about it for another 5 years until we have a console and GPU that can work with light rendering. this light at a better speed.
Oh, and there’s also an option to remove motion blur on the PS5. I left it on, but your mileage may vary.
Make your life easy and enable Automatic Item Collect

Make the items stand out a little more
In the very detailed and welcome Accessibility Settings you will find an option to increase the visibility of items. Given the speed at which you will move over time, the more you can highlight important game items, the better. By enabling Enhance visibility for items, they will flash in color, which is very helpful.
In Accessibility Settings, Show Items is the third option under World Settings.
Make your parkour more seamless with Semi-Automatic Leap/Fly
Opinions may vary on this, but I found that turning on “Semi-Auto” in the settings for Jump/Soar keeps the momentum moving a bit more. When in default settings, you’ll need to tap the circle while moving forward to jump and run up the wall. In Semi-Auto mode, while holding the circle, you will move a little further without pressing the button again.
In Accessibility Settings, navigate to Combat Settings and find Jump/Fly Controls there.
Again, this one might be for taste. I recommend choosing a wall and practice running up to it with the setting on and off. The menu remembers the page you’re on, so pausing and switching settings isn’t the worst thing in the world.
I fully anticipate I’ll go back to this setting over and over again for the duration of my gameplay, but it’s an important thing to watch out for.
Turn off music with one touch
The judges don’t know if I like the soundtrack, but right now, setting everything to 100 in the sound settings (which is the default setting) is extremely annoying to listen to—I mean, rather than not. – Stop talking nonsense.
Navigate to Sound Settings in Settings and reduce Music Volume as you see fit.

Dodge attacks in tell first looks and feels pretty great. One way to improve your odds in battle more consistently is to enable Enhanced Visibility for Attack Hints.
Under Accessibility Settings, scroll down to Menu Settings. Showing attack hints is the fifth item here.
Easy to fight a bit with Difficulty Settings
Under Game Balance (first set of settings in the menu) you’ll find a number of options to consider, including Targeting Assist, as well as adjustments to how much damage you’ll take, how long How long will the enemy be defeated and how long will you recover stamina.
The two main settings that you might want to look at are Auto Use of Healing Item and Auto Assist Spell Switch. The first will save you a button press (although you may find it better to manage your own health and healing), while the second will swap your support spell slot for a spell that now has no cooldown. Again, this takes away some of the control from the player, but it can result in a more seamless action experience.
Choose from Low and Minimal for voice chat
Geoff Keighley is going to have to invent a brand new “OMG Please Shut Up” prize for this game, because, oh, this game doesn’t know when to compress it.
Thankfully, you can cut the conversation down to a more manageable level. The weird thing is that you can also increase the chat frequency. If that option appeals to you, I would say that there are other ways to ask for help in life.
Under Accessibility Settings, navigate to Cuff Settings and select Low or Minimum from the last option.
I found Low to be a nice compromise between keeping things relatively quiet while still letting some of Frey and Cuff’s personalities show through.
When in doubt, restore the default settings by long-pressing the triangle
If tell first glorified for anything, it’s because of the plethora of settings—including the ability to reverse the game’s many controls even on consoles. You can find these in the Wireless Controller Settings.
But with so many settings, it’s easy to get a little lost. Don’t worry: Just hold down the triangle on any settings page you want to reset to default and it will flip back to normal, without affecting other settings pages.
