Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi today launched a scathing attack on the Prime Minister, accusing him of “bringing China and Pakistan” together and making a “major strategic mistake” in Jammu. and Kashmir. In a speech critical of the BJP government, Mr. Gandhi said the country was besieged by opponents on all sides and isolated in the region. “The country is at risk from outside and inside. And I don’t like that. This worries me,” he added. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar responded to two accusations made by the leader of the National Assembly on Twitter, while also giving feedback during his overseas travels.
“India’s strategic goal should have been to keep China and Pakistan separate. But what you’ve done is bring them together. Don’t underestimate what we’re facing. This is a relationship. grave threat to India,” he said, adding that we had made a “major strategic mistake” in Jammu and Kashmir, possibly referring to reading down Article 370 which revoked the special status. granted to the state.
In response to the allegation, Dr Jaishankar listed cases where China and Pakistan worked together when Congress took power at the center.

Dr. Jaishankar, in another tweet, clarified that the foreign guests were not physically present because of the pandemic and that they held a virtual summit on January 27.
