Your First Look at Oxygen’s Serial Killer Capital: Baton Rouge
To some, Baton Rouge is just the capital of Louisiana. But for others, it’s one of the darkest places in the country.
The city’s gritty history is the subject of two particularly terrifying seasons of Oxygen Serial Killer Capital: Baton Rouge. Debuting on December 10, the series will delve into the murders of more than three dozen women between 1992 and 2004, as well as how the killers were caught.
“The beautiful city of Baton Rouge has been paralyzed with fear for nearly a decade as 36 women were murdered in erratic and unpredictable ways across the city,” the series’ description reads. “When serial killers were set free, the gruesome murders created confusion and conflict with no pattern or matching victim.”
After meeting many dead ends, police made a breakthrough after “terrifying interrogation with a serial killer”, according to Oxygen. Along with the newly found evidence, the description said, “it was finally revealed that not only one serial killer, but multiple, overlapping, unrelated killers were lurking in the bay in same period.”
