11 flights brought back 2,200 Indians from Ukraine on Sunday: Center

The Ministry of Civil Aviation said 11 flights with more than 2,200 Indians evacuated will operate from Ukraine’s neighbors to India on Sunday.
About 3,000 Indians were transported on 15 flights to India on Saturday, the ministry statement said.
“These flights include 12 special civilian flights and 3 Indian Air Force (IAF) flights,” it added.
Ukrainian airspace has been closed since February 24 due to the Russian military attack on the country. Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine are being transported through neighboring countries such as Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland.
The IAF is conducting its flights using a C-17 military transport aircraft. The civil route is being operated by Indian airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, Vistara and SpiceJet.
Civilian flights today (Saturday) include five flights from Budapest (Hungary), four flights from Suceva (Romania), one flight from Kosice (Slovakia) and two flights from Rzeszow (Poland), the ministry said. “.
Tomorrow, 11 special flights are scheduled to operate from Budapest, Kosice, Rzeszow and Bucharest, bringing more than 2,200 Indians home.
