16-year-old teen stabbed outside a school in Montreal’s east end: police – Montreal
Montreal police say a 16-year-old boy was stabbed outside a Saint-Michel school Thursday afternoon after a scuffle broke out between three teenage boys.
Authorities say the incident happened shortly after 3 p.m. in front of Collège Reine-Marie, a private high school located on Avenue Saint-Michael near the intersection of Champdoré Street.
According to police, the victim was stabbed in the back and face, but health officials say his life is not in danger and he is stable in hospital.
An investigation is underway but no arrests have been made. A perimeter has been set up around the scene for investigators to locate the weapon used in the incident.
Police said they will also review security footage from local businesses.
The victim is said to have not cooperated with the investigation.
This is the second teenager to be stabbed outside of school in a week. Last Friday, a 14-year-old was attacked outside a high school in Anjou.
