The Vantage and DB11 will continue to use the Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, although they are expected to be upgraded to accommodate more recent AMG models.
Then-CEO Tobias Moers said that in 2021, the Aston Martin lineup will receive 11 new models by the end of 2023, including electric models.
Aston Martin also plans to use the Lagona nameplate for ultra-luxury versions of its existing models, with the company canceling plans to reintroduce it as an independent brand.
It is all part of the brand’s goal of expanding its portfolio and becoming a “self-sustaining company”, despite its close relationship with Mercedes-AMG, by 2024 and 2025.
