Special edition Hyundai i30 N Drive-N coming soon.
180 hot convertibles will make the trip to Australia, while another 620 have been built for the European market.
Of the 180 cars arriving in Australia, 126 will use a dual-clutch transmission and the remaining 54 will be manual. Hyundai says about 70% will be finished in Serenity pearl white, with the rest finished in black.
Along with a white or black exterior finish, the Drive-N will feature 19-inch forged alloy wheels finished in bronze, black Hyundai badging, unique decals, and Drive-N badging.
The extra badges show the coordinates of the Hyundai Europe Test Center at the Nurburgring, one of the key places where the i30 N was developed.
Inside, along with the necessary numbering plate, were Alcantara fabrics. The steering wheel, gear lever, armrests and handbrake are decorated with Alcantara, all trims and accents are red.
That means you’ll get red seat belts, steering wheel buttons, and red-marked seat stitching and inserts, along with unique floor mats.
Like the wider range, it will come standard with a full suite of driver aids, and like the flagship i30 N, it will also have a glass roof.
The power in the i30 N comes from a 2.0 liter turbo four with 206kW and 392Nmsent to the front wheels through a choice of a six-speed manual or eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Drive-N pricing hasn’t been revealed, but the regular i30 N series tops out at $52,000 before on-road costs with a dual-clutch transmission. The special edition will likely be $2000 to $3000 more expensive than the i30 N.
