2023 Subaru BRZ 10th Anniversary Edition Confirmed in Australia
Just like partner Toyota, Australian Subaru will offer a special 10th Anniversary Edition BRZ to celebrate the first decade of the rear-wheel drive sports coupe.
One small note, I feel old writing.
While details and even an arrival time are being kept under wraps – aside from Subaru Australia confirming it’s coming – it is expected that the BRZ special edition for the local market will be the same as the Japanese version. revealed this week.
If you’re hoping for mechanical improvements, you’re in luck, as that car sticks to design changes.
In Japan, the 10th-anniversary BRZ model features 18-inch matte black aluminum wheels, black emblems and mirror covers, blue-stitched interior, darker metal trim, and dark blue Ultrasuede seats. Oh, and the stickers…
Only 200 units will be produced in Japan, suggesting that the Australian version will be severely limited in range. Another allocation of the regular BRZ will take place here in the third quarter of 2022, so perhaps the 10th Anniversary will happen concurrently.
THAN: Subaru BRZ 2023 price and specifications: Orders reopen, prices increase
As we reported earlier this weeka conceptually similar – but orange-themed – Toyota GR86 10 Anniversary Edition will arrive locally in late 2022, in a limited run of just 86 units.
The new BRZ / 86 is still rear-wheel drive and is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder boxer engine. Even so, it went from 2.0 to 2.4 liters between the first and second generations, while the power and torque figures increased to 22kW and 37Nm.
