Vivo Y16 is tipped to launch in India soon as this smartphone has been spotted on IMEI and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database. It was also spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench, according to the report. Expected price of Vivo Y16 in India and specifications have also been revealed. The smartphone is said to be the successor to Vivo Y15 and Y15c. According to the report, it was discovered on the BIS India database with the model number V2204 and the nickname Y16 was seen on the IMEI database.
Tipster Paras Guglani, in cooperation with RootMyGalaxy, shared online that Vivo Y16 is expected to launch in India soon as the smartphone has been spotted on BIS India database with model V2204.
The report adds that it has also been detected on the IMEI database, which hints at the Y16 moniker. The specifications and expected price in India have also been shared. It has also been seen on the benchmarking site Geekbench, which reveals some of the specifications.

Vivo Y16 is expected to be priced at Rs in India. 11,499 for the 4GB RAM variant. This is said to be the first smartphone priced under Rs. 12,000 for a Gold color option. The report also emphasizes that this information should be discarded and more information about Vivo Y16 could be revealed in the coming days.

Vivo Y16 is said to be the successor Vivo Y15 (2019) and Y15c. The smartphone is said to have a 6.51-inch display with a full-HD+ resolution. It is expected to run the newly launched Android 12. The smartphone could be powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The SoC has been spotted on the Geekbench website.
As for optics, it is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary shooter. At the front, it is said to have an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It is said to come with a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
