Jessica Fishlock, Laura Harvey of CV Reign Win NWSL Awards 2021
CV Reign midfielder Jessica Fishlock is named National Women’s Soccer LeagueMVP of the (NWSL) on Tuesday, while head coach Laura Harvey won Coach of the Year.
Fishlock, who has been with the league since it debuted in 2013, has scored five goals in 21 games starting with four assists, helping lead CV Reign into the back of the tournament, where they lost in the semifinals to Washington Spirit.

“If you talk to most people around the league and ask the coaches if they can take a player from our team, it will always [Jess]”, Harvey said Tuesday.
“The journey she’s taken to get to this point has been phenomenal. I’m delighted she’s getting the recognition she deserves.”
Fishlock, the first player to have 100 caps for Wales, was chosen by a vote between players, the coach, the general manager, members of the media and fans. She is the first member of the Reign franchise to receive this honor since 2014.
