A Mind-Controlled Alibi by the Accused
New Delhi:
Man caught trying drive into the home of National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval in Delhi on Wednesday Sources revealed to NDTV that offered a strange explanation for his actions, prompting Delhi Police to investigate his mental stability.
According to a report submitted by the Delhi Police to the Home Office, the suspect has been identified as 43-year-old Shaktidhar Reddy from Bengaluru.
The report by the Delhi Police Task Force said: “The suspect exhibits signs of mental instability. He believes his mind and body are being manipulated by someone using the using some of the technology mainly used by China and the US”.
During his interrogation, the suspect also revealed that he had tried to meet with several officials, including NSA Ajit Doval, and organizations to discuss his situation beforehand.
He also revealed that he had filed a similar complaint with the Police Commissioner of Bengaluru before, requested by a senior officer.
“He arrived in Delhi on February 13 and checked into Ginger Hotel, Sector 63, Noida,” said a senior Home Office official.
According to him, the defendant then rented a red Mahindra XUV 300 from a self-driving car rental website and crashed it into the main gate of the NSA residence around 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
Mr. Doval has the highest level ‘Z-Plus’ security of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Confidential details were reviewed by the Home Office following the incident.
The NSA residence is located in the Janpath center of Delhi, across from the residence of the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The entire area is a VIP area and no one can get close to the gates of the people there without an appointment.
Mr. Doval is the former head of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and one of the most heavily guarded officials in the country. He was at his residence when the incident took place.
