Adani Power up nearly 5% after net profit soars in Q3

Shares of Adani Power on Thursday rose nearly 5% after the company’s consolidated net profit rose to Rs 4,645.47 in the third quarter.
Shares rose 4.40% to Rs 277.90 per unit on BSE. On the day, it rose 4.99% to Rs 279.50.
On the NSE, it rallied 4.99% and ended at Rs 279.65/piece.
In terms of trading volume, 31.93 thousand shares were traded on BSE and more than 3.98 crore shares on NSE during the day.
Adani Power’s consolidated net profit rose to Rs 4,645.47 in Q3 from Rs 13.13 in the same period last year, mainly on the back of higher sales.
The company’s total earnings rose to Rs 13,307.92 in the quarter ended March 31, 2022 from Rs 6,902.01 in the same period a year earlier, it said in a statement on Thursday.
Consolidated net profit for 2021-22 increased to Rs 4,911.58 from Rs 1,269.98 in the same period last year.
Last financial year, the company’s total earnings increased to Rs 31,686.47 from Rs 28,149.68 in the same period a year ago.
