Amit Shah Tweets Photos on Makar Sankranti
Ahmedabad:
Union Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah on Friday worshiped a bull at Ahmedabad’s Jagannath temple on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and also offered prayers at the temple.
Mr Shah, who was on a two-day visit to Gujarat to celebrate the harvest festival (also known as Uttarayan), performed the ‘aarti’ of animals revered by Hindus.
“Cow worship is considered important in Sanatan Dharma. I am privileged to worship cows here in Uttarayan like every year at Jagannath temple and receive the blessings of saints,” MP Lok Sabha from Gandhinagar tweeted.

Mr. Shah also posted photos and tweets about his adoration to the bull and he was praying to Lord Jagannath at the temple.
The BJP leader flies a kite every year with his family and party organizers around Uttarayan, but he has refused to do so this year due to the death of a loved one.
On Saturday, Mr. Shah will launch an organic farming program from the residence of Gujarat Minister, Bhupendra Patel.
