Via Ken Hissner: At Casino Fantasy, Indio, California, Thursday before DAZN Oscar De La Hoya, Golden Boy Promoted in the Main Event introduced former WBO world flyweight champion Angel “Tito” Acosta of San Juan, Puerto Rico, to stop Janiel “Pototo” Rivera of Catano, Puerto Rico in the first round.
In the co-main match, undefeated Featherweight champion Victor Morales of Portland, Oregon, scored a double knock when he beat rival Alberto Torres of Sacramento, California, over ten rounds.
In the main event, Super Flyweight Angel “Tito” Acosta, 23-3 (22), #114 of San Juan, PR, stopped nampaw Janiel “Pototo” Rivera, 18-9-3 (11), #114 of Catano, PR, at 1:19 of the first of ten scheduled rounds.
In the first half, Acosta made a quick appearance with Rivera on the track. He finally caught up with him after a minute of scoring two dozen unreturned punches from Rivera, who was lacking in defense, prompting referee Raul Caiz, Jr. be wise to stop.
In the co-main event, Victor Morales, 16-0-1 (8), #125 ½, of Portland, OR, scored a pair of knockdown and game-beating Southpaw Alberto “Chivo” Torres, 11-5-3 (4), #125 ½, of Sacramento, CA, more than ten laps.
In the final seconds of the second half, Torres rocked Morales with a left butt in the chin. In the third round, Morales landed with an upper left cut from halfway around Torres’ chin in the second round. In the fifth inning, a right from Morales to the midfield resulted in Torres being counted eight points by referee Ray Corona.
In the seventh and eighth innings, Morales landed some hard right into the chin of nampaw Torres, who repeatedly raised his arms forward. In the ninth round, Morales suffered a cut under his right eyebrow due to an accidental bump of the head.
In the 10th and final round, midway through, Morales beat Torres with three punches to the chin because referee Corona counted 8 points.

Featherweight Rudy “El Tiburon” Garcia, 13-0-1 (2), #125, of LA, CA, beat Diuhl “Elegante” Olguin, 15-23-5 (10), #124 ¾, of Guadalajara, Jalisco, MEX, more than 8 rounds.
In the first four innings, Garcia overcame Olguin, who kept trying. During the fifth inning, an accidental head impact cut the bridge of Garcia’s nose.
In the sixth and seventh rounds, both fighters combined well, with Garcia continuing to take down Olguin.
In the 1/8 and final round, Garcia fought Olguin for most of the round and took another turn. The referee is Raul Caiz, Jr.
The scores are 80-72, 79-73, respectively, with this writer at 78-74.
Super Welter, Eric Tudor, 20 years, 4-0 (3), #154, of Hollywood, FL, beat Donte Stubbs, 6-5 (2), 157½, of Riverside, CA, over six rounds.
In the first three rounds, the taller Tudor used an effective jab, while Stubbs finished all three rounds with a solid punch to Tudor’s head. In the fourth round, Tudor continued out, knocking out Stubbs in a close skirmish. In the fifth round, Tudor finished the round with a solid punch to Stubbs’ chin.
In the sixth and final round, Stubbs knew he was behind, having entered the knockout round with wild forehands that missed when Tudor counter-attacked. The referee is Ray Corona.

Welter 3-time Nicaraguan national champion Jimmy “Lone Wolf” Brenes, 2-0 (1), #146 ¼, of Masaya, NIC, took majority decision against Hector Perez, 0-1-1 (0) , # 145 ¾ , by West LA, CA, in 4 action packed innings.
The first two rounds were dramatic, in which both boxers were dominant at times. In the fourth and final innings, Brenes, with his left hooks to the body and right to the head, sucked the nose of Perez, who relentlessly rushed forward in an all-out fight. The referee is Ray Corona.
