Ankita Lokhande’s lehenga for mehendi took 45 days to perform; see the photos
Ankita Lokhande is ready to forge a relationship with her longtime lover, Vicky Jain. The couple got off to a fun start to their pre-wedding festival engagement and mehendi ceremonies, looking more ethereal than ever. And we couldn’t take our eyes off the adorable couple as they adorned in some gorgeous outfits.
For the mehendi ceremony, the bride-to-be chose an ivory lehenga ordered by Siddhartha Bansal, which took “45 days from sketch to actual garment,” says the designer.
The lehenga, embroidered with multicolored flowers and decorated with sequins, is “exquisitely and meticulously crafted by 15 hands.” karigars, use crafts like dapka Work, My Pita work and combinations of millions of sequins embellished with patchwork”.
It is paired with a neckline-free back-fitting choli and pink zari straps Dupatta. Ankita has outfitted her outfit with traditional gold jewelry including a heavy necklace, earrings, bracelets, bring tikka, kamar bandh and baju bandh.
Vicky complemented Ankita’s look with a pair of floral printed pastel kurta and dhoti pants. He styled the look with a matching ruffle coat and brown pair juttis.
For the engagement, Ankita wore a heavily embellished black gown with cape sleeves and a waist cut.
Following the ceremony’s color palette, Vicky also wore a black turtleneck top and paired trousers with a printed beige jacket.
