FBCCI urges Bangladesh mission counsellors to drive exports
The FBCCI underscored the significance of these counsellors and first secretaries (commercial) in attracting foreign investment for Special Economic Zones (EPZs).
FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam, during a courtesy call with newly appointed officers, stressed the pivotal role of foreign investment in Bangladesh’s economic development and market expansion.
The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry urged embassy counsellors to help in tapping export markets and attract foreign investment for Export Processing Zones in Bangladesh.
President of FBCCI Mahbubul Alam stressed their crucial role in economic growth even as he assured FBCCI’s full support to officials in achieving the goals.
He highlighted the need for maintaining commercial activities amidst global crises and highlighted the potential of appointed commercial counsellors and first secretaries (commercial) in achieving this goal.
Mahbubul urged the officials to focus on market diversification, export growth, and bolstering communication with domestic and foreign development organisations, as well as national and international commercial entities.
He assured them of FBCCI’s full cooperation in these endeavours.
The FBCCI leadership, including senior vice president Md. Amin Helaly, vice presidents Mohammad Anwar Sadat Sarkar and Md. Munir Hossain, and secretary general Muhammad Alamgir, reiterated their commitment to supporting the commercial counsellors and first secretaries (commercial) in their missions.
They collectively recognised the pivotal role these officials play in advancing Bangladesh’s economic interests on the global stage.
