Apple Watch SE 2 announced with price and release date
As part of today Far Out EventsApple has announced a refresh of its more affordable wearable device, the Apple Watch SE.
Along with Silver, Midnight, and Starlight color options, the second-generation Apple Watch SE features a redesigned back cover in nylon composite that will match the color of your choice, and Apple has even improved the manufacturing to 80% reduction in carbon emissions.
The Apple Watch SE 2 has a 30% larger screen than the Apple Watch Series 3, and it includes the new S8 SiP advanced dual-core processor, which is 20% faster than previous models and yes, that’s the processor. Similar processing is found in Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra. It also features Crash Detection, International Roaming, Heart Rate Notifications, Fall Detection, Sleep Phase, Multi-Sport Workouts, Apple Pay, Activity Tracking, etc. Oh, and it’s still water resistant.
The Apple Watch SE 2 serves as the new lower-cost option after Apple discontinued the Apple Watch Series 3, which was previously hinted after the company announced that next big watchOS update won’t come to Series 3.
Starting at $249 for the GPS model and $299 for the GPS + Cellular, the Apple Watch SE 2 will be released on September 16, 2022.
