Avatar: Pandora’s Frontiers Delayed Beyond 2022
Avatar: Pandora’s BorderUbisoft’s open-world title, set in James Cameron’s sci-fi fantasy universe, is currently due out sometime in 2023 or 2024. The news comes from Ubisoft’s quarterly revenue report.
Unfortunately, the report that you can see here, doesn’t narrow Avatar’s release window any further than that. Based on The VergeUbisoft CEO Yves Guillemot explained during the earnings call that the company plans to make the Avatar franchise a larger game franchise and related to Frontiers of Pandora, “It’s important to us that we have to come with something perfect.”
Ubisoft has kept quiet about Frontiers of Pandora since its big reveal during E3 2021, but it is thought the game will launch sometime this holiday to coincide with its December 16 theatrical premiere. Avatar: The Road of Water. The first-person action game is built in the Snowdrop Engine and the player controls Na’vi in a new region of Pandora called the Western Frontier. Frontiers of Pandora is being developed by Massive Entertainment, the team behind The Division. You can check out the E3 reveal trailer below.
