Aviation turbine fuel prices increased by 2.75%
New Delhi:
Ending last month’s downtrend, the price of jet fuel or aviation turbine fuel (ATF) rose 2.75% as international oil prices stabilized.
The price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) rose by Rs 2,039.63 per kilogram (kl), or 2.75%, to Rs 76,062.04 in the national capital, according to retailers’ price announcements state-owned fuel.
The rate hike followed two price cuts in December that mirrored the slump in international oil prices during the second half of November and mid-December.
After that, the international rate increased, leading to an increase in the price of ATF.
The ATF price peaked at Rs 80,835.04 in mid-November before it was cut on December 1 and 15 by a total of Rs6,812.25 or 8.4%.
Jet fuel prices are adjusted on the 1st and 16th of each month based on the international benchmark prices for the preceding two weeks.
