StarfieldThe next big RPG from Elder Scrolls and Fall out developer Bethesda, has been delayed from its 2022 release to 2023, the company has just announced.
Originally written for a November 2022 release on PC and Xbox, it will now launch in the “first half of 2023”. It was joined by RedfallVampire shooter from Arkane Austinis supposed to launch in the summer on similar platforms.
Bethesda issued a brief statement about both delays, saying:
We have decided to delay the launch of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023.
The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to make sure you get the best, most polished versions of them.
We want to thank everyone for their excitement for Redfall and Starfield. That energy is a huge part of what inspires us all every day and fuels our excitement for what we’re creating.
We can’t wait to share the first gameplay details for both Redfall and Starfield soon. Thanks for your support.
The last time we saw Starfield is its entire eight seconds back in Marchwhen Ethan said:
Unless it’s delayed, Xbox exclusive Starfield will launch on November 11th. That said, we still haven’t really seen Bethesda’s next game beyond last year’s cinematic trailer, and A variety of concept artwork.
Turns out yes, there is a very good thing the reason we barely see anything from the game. We still don’t know too much about it, aside from what was revealed a few months ago, which if you miss it includes:
- OblivionA mini-game to convince NPCs to return in some form
- Four factions you can deal with: United Colonies, Freestar Collective, Ryujin Industries and Crimson Fleet
- Side by side with the United Colonies space cop won’t stop you from helping the pirates of the Crimson Fleet
- Deeper character traits and background customization
- NPCs look more realistic
